BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT FINALIST LAUNCHES NEW COMEDY NIGHT IN THE WIRRAL.
Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues all over the country, is excited to announce the launch of their brand new comedy night at The Gladstone Theatre, The Wirral.
Funhouse Comedy Clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to fame and fortune include Sarah Millican, Russell Kane, Jack Whitehall and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."
Topping the bill is the consistently funny and inventive Robert White, who writes for other comedians and TV panel shows, he was runner-up on ITV's Britain's Got Talent this year, where he roasted all the judges then received 4 'yes's'! Openly gay and with Asperger's syndrome, he is a unique, spell-binding comic. With his abstract perspective and natural musical ability, the result is a collection of pockets of randomness, which are very funny and truly engaging for the crowd.
Opening the night will be Alun Cochrane who has appeared on numerous TV shows including Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Russell Howard's Good News, Mock The Week and Coronation Street; as well as featuring on several BBC Radio shows, including co-hosting The Frank Skinner Show on Absolute Radio. With his unique gift for storytelling, he draws the audience in before dropping an inimitable punchline, leaving them in tears of laughter.
Also appearing is the hilarious Simon Lomas who finished 3rd in last years 'English Comedian of The Year Competition and this year won 'Petfringe Comedian of The Year', the biggest prize in live comedy. He captivates everyone with his imaginative and enjoyable wordplay.
Compere for the night is the warm and welcoming Spiky Mike.
