TV comedian launches new comedy night in the wirral.
Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues all over the country, is excited to announce the launch of their brand new comedy night at Gladstone Theatre, Wirral.
Funhouse Comedy Clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to fame and fortune include Sarah Millican, Rhod Gilbert, Joe Lycett and James Acaster, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."
Topping the bill is the consistently funny and inventive Robert White, who was 2018 runner-up on ITV's Britain's Got Talent, where he roasted all the judges then received 4 'yes's'! Openly gay and with Asperger's syndrome, he is a unique, spellbinding comic, who writes for other comedians and TV panel shows. With his abstract perspective and natural musical ability, the result is a collection of pockets of randomness, which are very funny and truly engaging for the audience.
Opening the night will be Alun Cochrane who has appeared on numerous TV shows including Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Russell Howard's Good News, Mock The Week and Coronation Street; as well as featuring on several BBC Radio shows, including co-hosting The Frank Skinner Show on Absolute Radio. With his unique gift for storytelling, he draws everyone in before dropping an inimitable punchline, leaving them in tears of laughter.
Also appearing is the hilarious Simon Lomas who finished 3rd in 'English Comedian of The Year Competition in 2017 and last year won 'Petfringe Comedian of The Year', the biggest prize in live comedy. He captivates the crowd with his imaginative and enjoyable wordplay.
Compere for the night will be the chatty and energetic Spiky Mike.
