Funhouse Comedy returns to the Abbey Theatre, Nuneaton on Saturday June 12th for a socially distanced night full of laughter.
Headlining is the effortlessly engaging Andrew Bird, who was the support act on Michael McIntyre's recent arena tour and has also supported Rhod Gilbert and Lee Hurst on tour, as well as performing internationally. Watching The Young Ones with his brothers as an eight year old, at two in the morning on Comic Relief, he realized then that he wanted to be funny in some way. With his personal appeal and superbly crafted, funny anecdotes, he captivates everyone.
Support comes from Rob Rouse, ever exuberant and recognizable from his many TV appearances including 'Upstart Crow', '8 Out Of Ten Cats', John Bishop's Only Joking', 'Celebrity Juice', 'Dave's One Night Stand' and 'The Friday Night Project', as well as making a guest appearance on 'Coronation Street'. With his cheeky banter and extremely funny tales, he's always one step ahead of his audience's expectations and keeps them enthralled with his comedic storytelling.
Completing the line-up will be award-winning stand-up comedian and writer, Charlie George. Her calm and collected demeanour, hides the playful, naughty streak as she entertains the crowd with her wry observations and interesting accounts.
Compere for the night is cheerful and chatty Spiky Mike.
