If you are a VAT-registered business with a taxable turnover below £85,000 it will be compulsory for you to submit your VAT returns online using HMRC's approved software by April 2022.
Making Tax Digital was launched by HMRC in 2015 to streamline the tax system and make it more efficient for businesses and individuals. Since 2019, it has been compulsory for VAT-registered businesses with a taxable turnover of more than £85,000 to submit their VAT returns online. From April 2022, this will be extended to VAT-registered businesses with a taxable turnover below the £85,000 threshold.
Hosted by Perrys Chartered Accountants MTD specialist, Victoria Pearson, the one and a half hour session will cover everything businesses will need to know about transitioning to the digitised tax system ahead of the April 2022 deadline as well as providing helpful tips and advice about things like suitable software.
