ONCHAN, Isle of Man – Poker will make a triumphant splash in Dublin this February with the double-headed return of Europe’s two largest tournaments – the European Poker Tour (EPT) and the UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT), which combine to form the PokerStars EPT Dublin Festival.

Poker professionals and enthusiasts will descend on the Irish capital as the city’s prestigious Royal Dublin Society plays host to the headline event. The action will be kick-started with the UKIPT, followed by the EPT, as both tours run back-to-back featuring 67 separate events from February 9th – 20th, making this the most lucrative poker event in the UK and Ireland.

There’s plenty to be excited about, with a €5,300 buy-in EPT Main Event and €10,300 EPT High Roller tournament which will attract poker hopefuls in their thousands, all looking to scoop up the flush prize pool.

The EPT tour last touched down in Dublin in 2007, where 221 players competed to take a bite of the whopping €1.7 million prize pool. This year is set to be no different, with some of the world’s best poker players already signed up to take their seat at the felt, including Team PokerStars Pros Liv Boeree, Jake Cody and Jason Mercier.

The previous 2014 UKIPT Dublin tournament witnessed poker professional and Emerald Isle homeboy, Kevin Killeen, pocket €87,700 from a cool half million euro prize pool.

With a large number of tournaments on the schedule and a huge number of players, from recreational, right up to the high rollers, expected to attend; this season’s festival is set to be the biggest and best live poker event ever hosted in Ireland.
As well as the action-packed poker schedule, further highlights on the Dublin schedule will include the newly introduced Dodge Ball Trampoline and mixed chess and poker tournament, a format that has already proved very popular after a successful debut at the UKIPT Isle of Man stop. The festival will conclude on the 20th February with the crowning of the EPT Main Event winner.
