Funhouse Comedy brings an outstanding day of comedy to the beer garden stage at Bar One, Derby on Sunday August 1st with its Edinburgh Festival Preview All-Dayer.

2.00pm - Glenn Moore
Multi award-winning comedian, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee who has appeared on BBC TV’s ‘Mock the Week’. One of the best and most prolific joke writers in the country, having written for BBC’s The Mash Report, Play To The Whistle, and Russell Howard’s Good News. With his silly turn of phrase and smart little one-liners and funny observations, he keeps the audience hanging on to his every word.

3.25pm - Ignacio Lopez
Spaniard/Welshman with his unique brand of sarcastic observations and witty lines. He gives his audience a taste of what it's like to be the outsider, explaining cultural differences with hilarious results. During the pandemic he has focussed on putting comedy content online, streaming live comedy events, running a weekly quiz and teaching people how to make Sangria

4.50pm - Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre
A totally unique Comedy Theatre that has played nationally and internationally  A magnificently performed show with songs, sketches and a bit of mayhem! Never have socks had such a following, brought to life in front of their audiences who are completely captivated whilst crying with laughter.

6.15pm - Kev’s Komedy Kitchen
Comedian Kevin Dewsbury plays the host of a TV cookery show, featuring recipes, a few surprises and maybe some special guests. A show that is extremely entertaining with a massive feel good factor.

7.30pm - Scott Bennett
Widely tipped in the industry as on the brink of the big time; runner up in 2014 English Comedian Of The Year competition, Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 and support for both Michael McIntyre and Rob Brydon. This loveable rising star enthrals the crowd with his warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic, who has been busy entertaining people through the lockdown, with his ‘Stand Up From The Shed’ online show.

8.45pm - Jake Lambert
Falling into a career as a stand up, after gaining a following on Twitter under the pseudonym @LittleLostLad he decided to put down his iPhone and pick up a microphone. It has proven to be a great choice with him making it to the final of the Amused Moose Final 2016, semi-finals of the BBC New Comedy Award 2015, Magners New Comedian of the Year 2015, English Comedian of the Year 2015 and the Leicester Mercury New Act of the Year 2015. His warm and friendly persona is backed up by his wonderful combination of one-liners and personal anecdotes.

Doors open 1:30pm

£5 evening ticket (after 6pm)
